I need to make a card for my son's imminent birthday, but thought this week's colour combo over at CAS Colours & Sketches was more suited to a feminine card.
They aren't colours I would normally put together but I was pleasantly surprised to see how well they work.
Why not join in on the action?
Meanwhile, I'm off to bake and ice a birthday cake for my elder son's birthday tomorrow ...
Oh yes, and make him a birthday card!
January is just one long month of birthdays, cards, cake and celebrations in our household.
It's fabulous!
Lovely card, Lindsey. The colours do go together well and your design makes the most of them. I like the little embellishments of flowers and sequins too. Elizabeth x
ReplyDeleteLove the hexagons, so pretty and reminds me of bees on a Summer day. And the trio of little flowers is the perfect finishing touch.
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautifully CAS Lindsey. Loving the mix of geometrics, florals and flowing design layout across the card. Hugs Bev x

ReplyDeleteI like the combo of visual textures here, with the different patterns in the hexagons, embellished with the flowers and the sequins. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteGoodness, Lindsey, your CAS eye is so "on point" with this card! I love the position of the hexagons, the patterns, the embellishments. You have lots happening, yet have managed to keep it clean and simple!! Love this one!
ReplyDeleteGreat CAS card - those hexagons with the different patterns and the positioning to ensure lots of white space make this card such a stand out!
