Mother's Day Bouquet

Sweet Stampin want Mother's Day cards.

Using the Color Throwdown combo and

Hand Stamped Sentiments' sketch.

I've gone all 'cute' for a Mother's Day card for my mother-in-law.

Plenty of shimmering pastels, Wink of Stella and hint of glitter for the bouquet of flowers.

Hope your weekend's going well!

Make A Wish

Uniko Studio stamps, CAS cards

The Uniko challenge this month is a colour one:

This second photo was taken in artificial light as it was the only way I could capture the glitter of the Wink of Stella adorned balloons and the tiny pink iridescent sequins!

Have you made a wish this Leap Year?!
A litle snippet of English history:
The right of every women to propose on 29th February each leap year goes back hundreds of years when the leap year day had no recognition in English law (the day was 'leapt over' and ignored, hence the term 'leap year'). It was decided that the day had no legal status, meaning that a break in tradition on this day was acceptable and women could take advantage and propose to the man they wished to marry.

Loving the silver holographic glitter I found whilst 'tidying' up!
Am looking very glittery myself now ;)

Birthday Tag Card

Stampin Up, Handmade cards

Just Us Girls want to see a tag on a card and
Addicted To Stamps have "anything goes".

I'm having trying to have a good de clutter in my craft spare room this half term.
This is taking far longer than intended as I ooh and aah over all the things I rediscover and forgot I had.
So actually not much in the "bin" and "charity" piles as yet !
Still enjoying myself though.

Thanks a Ton

There's been some prolific crafting the last couple of days ..
Can you tell that it's half term?!

One Layer Heart

One layer cards

LessIsMore wants one layer cards with "stems".
I found this sweet little stamp that I'd forgotten all about hiding at the back of my shelves
- so I gave it some love and inked it up!

It's looking very pretty outside this morning; white over with a hard frost.
Decidely nippy however. Even the dog thought twice about going out.
Happy Tuesday

Love Parcel

Stampin Up Bear Hugs

TheFridayMashUp want us to be ready for Valentine's Day.
Well if you're not ready, you've missed the boat, seeing as it's today!

We made these gift parcels at my February craft club session

together with a matching card (which I forgot to photograph, oops!).

I'll have to update the post once hubby has opened his card & present ;)

Stampin Up Bear hugs

Anyhow, I digress from the aforementioned parcel.

These gift parcels are the perfect size to hold a pack of truffles (or in this case, caramel hearts!) sold at Thorntons.

And all you need to make it is 1 sheet of A4 card.

- With the card landscape style (horizontal), score it at 3" 5" 8" 10".

- Then with the card portrait style (vertical), score it at 2".

- Fold along the score lines and you will see that the 2" score line forms the base of your package.

- At one bottom corner you will have a rectangle approx 3" x 2" and at the other bottom corner you will have a square approx 2".

- Cut away the 2" square.

- Using strong glue make up into your box shape. It's easier to adhere the long side edges first. Then fold up the 4 bottom flaps.

- To fasten the top of the package, punch a small circle on either side & feed a piece of ribbon through.

Happy Valentine's Day peeps!
