Bonnie and Loll have started a monthly challenge using stamping and different mixed media techniques.

A great way to extend your repertoire of techniques.

I got lovely and inky with my Brushos.

They are fab!

Loads of different techniques you can have fun with and so many varied results.

For this card, I wet my watercolour paper before sprinkling with the Brushos crystals.

This gives a subtler scattered effect.

Quite different to sprinkling the crystals and then spraying.

Why not try it?

I was recuperating yesterday after a poorly day on Tuesday so felt justified having a day playing.

Very therapeutic and LOADS of fun!

 

 

Geometric Birthday

Had fun with a new stencil and sponging.

I couldn't stop and just kept adding the layers - can you tell?!

So after that rather busy background I thought it better to keep it CAS with a simple sentiment.

Needed to be big and bold though.

Can't beat a bit of bling to jazz up a card!

Wired Heart

Less Is More has an unusual challenge this week - they want us to use wire.

Had to really get my thinking cap on for this one!

I can't believe it's the start of March today - wow February flew by fast!

I've gone all 'cute' for a Mother's Day card for my mother-in-law.

Plenty of shimmering pastels, Wink of Stella and hint of glitter for the bouquet of flowers.
