Love You Sweetheart

Stampin Up Heart

Using In(k)spire _me sketch and

tidying up my snippets thanks to Di.

Since I'm on a declutter the house mission, i also looked at my Craft Desk and used these snippets left over from making an Anniversary card.

No better reason to give a card than to remind someone you love them!

Floral Snippets

AddictedToStamps has a gorgeous photo of a floral posy for inspiration.

LessIsMore want us to use snippets

And since I'm using snippets I'm skipping over to Di's playground.

Those little flower embellishments have been languishing at the bottom of my offcuts/not sure what to do with tin for eons. I bought them from Poundland many years ago when my Mum suggested I have a go making a card. If only she knew where her innocent suggestion would lead ...

I've got a lot to thank her for !!!

First day of the summer holidays and it's raining ...

Same as last year and the year before that!

Hope it's sunny where you are.

Edited to add!!

Seize The Birthday have 'anything goes'.
The Male Room want spots & stripes.

Did you know odd numbered arrangements are nearly always better in a design than even numbered?

Even numbered arrangements create symmetry; the brain happily groups items into pairs and then stops analysing what it's looking at.

Odd numbered arrangements force movement and visual interest. This is because the brain keeps looking to find items to 'pair' together hence forcing you to keep looking around the picture.

Why not try it out for yourself?

Hence the 5 candles and the 3 Happy sentiments!

BTW - before anyone contradicts me! Yes, even numbered arrangements can also work well but in a different way by focusing the brain to look at the centre of a design.

I'll have to make a card with an even numbered grouping.

Not today though, as I'm off out for the evening - it's the end of term jolly.

School's out for the summer!!!

I can hide the alarm clock for the next 6 weeks.

Happy Tuesday!

The eagle-eyed amongst you may have noticed I've rounded one of the corners (again)

Seem to have developed a penchant for missing corners ...

And if you're wondering about the sweet tiny hearts, they are courtesy of the Owl Builder Punch.

Love this punch. Wouldn't be without it.

Hope you have a fun weekend ahead of you ...

It's Friday. Weh heh!

Happy Happy Happy Birthday

Stampin Up Amazing Birthday

CraftyCardmakers want us to focus on the sentiment.

UnikoStudio want 'masculine'.

Funky easy masculine card to top up my stocks.

Not sure why, but stars are nearly always my "go-to" for masculine card ...

Anyhow, I'm skipping over to Di's playground now thanks to the snippet of turquoise peaking out from the top corner!

Smoky Slate Birthday

Since writing this post, I was gazing at the finished card (before writing it for my Mom's birthday!) and thought it definitely needed a little something extra.
So I rounded two of the corners.
Bingo! Much happier with this version.
What do you think?
Which version do you prefer?!

Using the sketch from CreativeInspirations.

The CardConcept wants yellow, white & grey - I've gone for Classy & Elegant!

Making the most of the cooler weather today to get all my housework done - before it (hopefully) hots up again tomorrow!
