Stampin Up Papillon potpourri, Clockworks, CAS cards

InThePink want to see die cuts/punches; CreativeInspirations want stamping and MyTimeToCraft wants 2 images.

I stamped the "Clockworks" background stamp in Versamark, then dusted over some Mica powder for a lovely subtle iridescence.

Stampin Up Banner Blast

Using this week's SeizeTheSketch.

An easy way to cut the end of banners is to use the pennant/square/hexagon punch depending how acute you want the angles to be. I used the hexagon & square punches to cut the ends of my 2 strips of coloured card.

It was my birthday this week and this was my favourite card from all those that I received! It was lovingly made for me by my 11 year old son :) He spent an hour and apologised for it not being perfect. Aah! As I said to him, a handmade card means far more to me than a shop bought one and he had obviously put a lot of time and thought into it. I love it! All my favourite elements: CAS, fuschia pink, glitter & bling to boot! And he obviously remembered way back when I explained the "rule of thirds" to him!

I'm entering Toby's card in AddictedToStamps' CAS challenge and the OneLayerSimplicity challenge ;)

That's it now for birthdays in our household. Four birthday cakes have been devoured in the last week and a half, the balloons are nearly all popped (& we're all spent up!)

Stampin Up Spiral Flower Die, Valentine

TimeOut has a lovely photo full of hearts and CurtainCall has a photo of red flowers for inspiration; MyTimeToCraft is "all about love".

This is a sneak preview of the new spiral flower die from Stampin Up. It's very quick and easy to make a bunch. This is definitely a project worth "dusting off" the glue gun for, if you have one!

SU card: Real Red
SU die: Spiral Flower

Stampin Up Language of Love

Using the CrazyForCAS sketch; MyTimeToCraft is "all about love", CASonSunday has "lovey dovey" and FridayMashup wants hearts & arrows. AddictedToCAS has "new" - I've used a new stamp set "Language of Love" available from the start of next month and SweetStampin wants us to use our favourite style - well it has to be CAS for me!

A sneak peek of the Sale-a-bration stamp set "Banner Blast" (free when you purchase £45 of Stampin Up products).

I do love the needlepoint embossing folder - looks just like kisses (don't you think?!)

Handy Hint: to prevent smaller embossing folders (like this one) leaving crease lines on your card stock, I use only 1 cutting pad, Tab 2 & a crease pad.
