I'm still playing with my new mini letter dies!
A fun afternoon painting, sponging, stamping, embossing and punching (and I even did a spot of drilling!) to make a present for aunty Peg :)
Hope your day's going well!

CASology has the cue word "letter". I had a play with my new rotary alphabet stamp; it has 13 characters with all the letters of the alphabet for you to make up any message you want - fab!
A card for a friend who's just had an operation and is not feeling the best.

I've been uuming and aaahing over smash books and the like for some time. I've finally succumbed and treated myself to the Stampin Up This and That "Documented" Bundle (page 29 of the catalogue).
The books themselves cost £9.95. They are made with embossed chipboard front and back cover, 2 pocket pages, 2 patterned envelopes and 30 patterned paper pages. Well priced if you look at other branded smash books on the market coating approx £13.00.
Anyhow, with all these type of scrapping journals it's more fun to add lots of coordinating stickers, embellishments, washi tape and the like ... The This & That bundle includes 3 reels of Washi tape and 4 sheets of stickers at a cost of £15.95 (a saving of 15%). Bargain!
There now follow quite a few photos. Simply because I hunted all over the internet for images of the contents and I couldn't find any out there!! So I'm rectifying that and posting some!
So for those of you who are contemplating purchasing This & That here's a potted version of washi, sticker sheets and some of the inside pages.
PS: there are 3 different coloured themed journals - these are photos of the "Documented" version. I plumped for this design as I thought the colours of the pages were more muted - smoky slate, pool party, crisp Canteloupe, Hello Honey.
PPS: I love it and can't wait to get "smashing" ;)
My first Xmas card of the year - EEK.
Then I saw someone on Facebook had posted a countdown to Xmas and it's apparently 18 weeks away. I calculated if I made 2 cards a week I still won't have enough. Then I didn't feel quite so naughty making a Xmas card in August. Apologies to those of you who don't like to start thinking of Christmas till December ...

PaperPlayers want a CAS card for a child. My younger son is heavy into music - hence my inspiration!
The music score stamp is from a Stampin Up wheel stamp. I wasn't a great fan of the wheel stamps; I often "wheeled" them in a wonky line! So I've removed the rubber stamps from their wheels using a sharp craft knife and now use them as flat rubber stamps. You can adhere them to an acrylic block using a glue stick (this easily washes off when done).
It feels like ages since I've made a card - and indeed it is!
2 weeks left of the summer holidays and I feel like making amends! ...
