Halloween Pumpkin

Stampin Up, Wacky Wishes, Halloween, Papercraft

PolkaDoodles wants Autumn, Let'sCraft&create wants to see dimension, AllThatScraps & InkyImpressions want anything but a card, StampinForTheWeekend, CraftingForAllSeasons & DivasByDesign want something spooky, DecorateToCelebrate & DudeTimeDoodles want Halloween and PapercraftStar wants a Halloween pumpkin. Phew!

If you'd like a go making your own, you will need a sheet of A4 cut in half lengthways (29.5 x 10.5cm). I then embossed mine for a bit of interest. Emboss half the paper and then turn it around to emboss the other half.

Then fold the paper in half lengthways (14.75 x 10.5cm) and cut it into 8 strips. I used pinking shears to give a more patterned effect.

Place 2 strips together at their centre points to make a cross shape & glue them together where they meet.

Continue gluing the remaining strips at the centre points.

Cut a couple of thin strips of green paper and curl them by pulling them against the blade of a pair of scissors to make some tendrils. If you want to add a Halloween tag, now's the time to make that. Stick the green tendrils and tag onto a scalloped circle and then glue this to the centre. This is much easier to do whilst your pumpkin is still flat!

Then the part where you feel like you could do with three hands ... Turn it over and pull all the strips up to make your rounded finished shape. I found it easiest to pull them up a quarter at a time and staple them.
Finally, cut some eyes & a wonky grin out of black card & glue them on.
Have fun!
SU stamp: Wacky Wishes
SU punch: Decorative Label, Small Scalloped Circle
